Seniors

The City of Stirling has over 43,000 residents over the age of 60 living in the community, so it’s important that we provide a variety of services and support to our residents as they age.

Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme

With funding from the Department of Health, the City is pleased to be part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. This program utilises volunteers to provide social connections for people living in residential aged care facilities within the City of Stirling. These friendly, regular visits from volunteers enable people who are socially isolated, lonely or have no family nearby to enjoy quality social time and create lasting friendships.

If you are interested in becoming part of this program, please contact the City and ask to speak to the volunteer department.
